China Eastern Airlines – Rhinestahl CTS Selected as a LEAP-1A Tooling Provider for China Eastern Airlines

CINCINNATI – February 13 – Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions (CTS) has announced that it has been selected by China Eastern Airlines to be its primary provider for LEAP-1A Engine Tooling. This agreement marks 38 out of 45 LEAPEntry Into Service wins, solidifying Rhinestahl’s commitment to customers worldwide and making Cincinnati, OH the capital of LEAP Engine Tooling.

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has been in operation since 1988 and holds one of the youngest fleets around the world. As of today, CEA operates a fleet of over 600 aircraft, with an average age of 5.5 years. China Eastern Airlines is a member of SkyTeam Alliance, serving over 100 million passengers globally and ranking 7th in the world. Through the network, CEA reaches 1,052 destinations in 177 countries.

As China Eastern Airlines continues to grow and maintain its status as having one of the youngest fleets, Rhinestahl will provide world-class LEAP-1A engine tooling support. LEAP engines are a product of CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines.
