Rhinestahl Selected as Primary LEAP Tooling Provider for LEAP 1A Launch Customer Pegasus Airlines
CINCINNATI – August 18, 2016
Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions (CTS) announced recently that it was awarded the LEAP engine tooling agreement from Pegasus Airlines, a Turkish airline headquartered in Istanbul with bases in several Turkish airports.
Pegasus is the first airline to take delivery of the Airbus A320neo with the LEAP-1A engine. After an extensive evaluation process, Pegasus selected the proven tooling leader, Rhinestahl, as their primary tooling provider for their LEAP Entry Into Service (EIS.) Rhinestahl delivered the required tooling on-time earlier this year and is fully engaged in supporting Pegasus Airlines on this historic EIS of their LEAP engine powered aircraft.
“The Rhinestahl team has been working diligently to ensure we deliver to Pegasus the technical expertise, tooling and support they need to be successful for this very strategic program. Our tools are built with proven manufacturing and certification processes to ensure the highest quality and fully compliant products while meeting strict specifications. Coupled with our world class support, this makes Rhinestahl the better solution. We are proud to have been selected as the primary EIS tooling provider for Pegasus in this important milestone for the aviation industry.” said Dieter Moeller, Rhinestahl Corporation’s President and CEO. Tom Johnston, Rhinestahl’s Director of Strategic Projects added: “Bringing our long standing experience and expertise as GE’s OEM Authorized Tooling Provider to our role as CFM Licensed Supplier for LEAP Tooling ensures we have the capability and will provide our customers with the best tooling solution for their CFM LEAP engines worldwide.”
In addition to working with Pegasus Airlines, Rhinestahl is currently working with all upcoming LEAP customers to provide them world class, proven tooling solutions as their EIS dates approach.
